Der Aufenthalt in Zermatt war perfekt! Positive: Die Lage der Unterkunft ist perfekt. Das Frühstück wird vor das Zimmer geliefert. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist super.

Unsafe conditions, severe illness after eating on-site food, aggressive treatment, refusal of full refund, and unlawful Positive: Nothing positive to note. Negative: • Spa facilities were never open as advertised in the booking. • Constant construction noise; owner Magdalena moved me to another room voluntarily but the issue was not resolved. • She asked me to open an external shed with exposed live electrical wiring - a serious safety hazard I refused. • On 2 July 2026 at 8:30–8:45am, after eating their breakfast and drinking coffee, I developed sudden severe stomach pain, constipation, dizziness, heavy sweating, and 4 bouts of diarrhoea within 30 minutes. I became dehydrated and attended hospital for treatment. • When requesting a full refund, the owner’s husband Joel acted aggressively, blocked my door, shouted threats, and tried to evict me unlawfully. • Police attended alongside him; I was forced to leave immediately, given only a partial refund of CHF 1,350 for 3 nights, and offered another room right next door which I refused for safety. • My video recording of the incident was accessed and deleted from my phone without my consent; I have since recovered it. • I had to pay CHF 900 for emergency accommodation elsewhere. I am now pursuing this matter through legal channels.

Everything is just amazingly good Positive: Basically everything. I like the breakfast, the room, the equipments, the Sauna and especially the landlord and the service.

Wonderful, would stay there again on the next trip to Zermatt. Positive: Everything at Face D'Or was exactly as advertised. The property is new, beautifully equipped and decorated, and exceptionally clean. Facilities were amazing and hosts Magdelena and Joel were wonderful and responsive! Negative: Everything was perfect.

Location, accommodation and host were perfect!! Positive: Our host (Joel and Magdalena) were amazing they arranged a taxi to pick us up from the train station. Joel meet us at the apartment, show us through the beautiful apartment and how to use everything. The accommodation is a new build beautifully decorated with a Wellness centre over looking Matterhorn, we had a yummy home cooked breakfast included deliver to our room. The location is central easy access to village and train station. We will be back!! Negative: We only had two nights there!!
